The Science of Dreamwork: Table of Contents

These dreams, from back in 2012, form the structure of a book which presents the science behind Dreamwork philosophy. Remembering that all dream characters are metaphorical should help any dreamer to dive deeper into their symbolic meanings. By applying the lessons of the dream to real life situations and relationships anyone can find themselves soaring high and achieving great feats. I present this draft openly in its pre-publican format now and more will be shared in time. The Dreamwork and changework process is full of mystery and intrigue and makes life ever-so exciting! I invite you to read on and see what you think. Happy Dreamworking!”

  1. FLOATING IN THE CLOUDS

I am swinging on swings and the swing detaches so that I am flung high
into the air. I was filled with excitement as I rose higher and higher
into the clouds. Then I get to a certain point and am able to just
float. I spin around and drift, filled with awe and joy. I was so
happy to be able to do this. I thought about others and thought it
seemed I was doing something no one else could do and I felt grateful
for the gift for me to be able to do this. I wanted to tell others
about it but thought no one would understand but that I will enjoy
this experience anyways. Then I would float back down and then go back
up again.. It happened several times and when I went high like that I
was released from all fears, all worries, everything. It was just
bliss and joy.
Then later I was talking with my sister. She told me that there was a
weather abnomility reported that day that showed a gust of wind and
air pressure that was in the park where I was in. I said, yes, I felt
that. It lifted me up and I explained what I had experienced and then
I thought she would believe me. But she didn’t. She looked at me and
was like, what? And I said, oh nevermind. But for me, I liked knowing
that there was a scientific explanation for what I experienced.
The beauty and wonder of the skies when I was up there was amazing.
The blue was the most beautiful blue and the clouds fluffy and soft. I
felt protected and safe by the air. The temperature was perfect. I
felt like God was with me, smiling at me, giving me this great
experience. I was surrounded in a hug from the air. ( I wonder: What is air energy? Breath? What do Natives say about air? This dream had a big impact on me when I woke up and it has put back in the fore-front of my mind the sacred nature of life and living and has filled me with a renewed energy and passion for my work.)

2) MOULD IN THE BASEMENT
I am crawling through a small crawl space beneath a house. There is a box and garbage bag with books in it that have become mouldy. The books were Little House on the Prairie and Anne of Green Gable books that my Aunt Colleen gave me that had a spill and then were not cleaned up and became mouldy and ruined the books. I am regretful that I let them get like this but I know I have to clean them up and let them go. I pack them up into a bag to throw out and it feels really good to get rid of them.

3) WALKING IN THE SNOW

I am walking in the snow outside the Ridgemount house. Someone is there too, an adult male I knew from childhood. And he wants to lay in it but I say, no, it’s gotten too cold for me, I can feel the cold on my shoulders. I’m gonna go in now and I do.

4) PHONES & POLICE OFFICERS

I am using a phone beside a police officer and am sitting just a few
feet away. We are not bothering each other. I go into a clothing store and am looking at a halter top. The owner approaches my sister and asks if we took anything when she wasn’t looking. We both say no and I show her my bag is empty and in my purse that I have money to buy things. There is candy in my wallet and I laugh and tell her the police officer gave that to me.

5) GRANDMOTHER & CHILDREN

Also A grandmother looking after her two children. A 9 year old and a 6 year old. I ask if her 9 year old can come over to babysit and she says yes that she could come with her. I am so pleased with how she takes care of her grand-daughter and is considerate to me too. I am building a model house/building. It has several wings and in the centre is a teepee. Richard and I are building it together and he gives me an idea about where to put a certain part of the building and I do. We are both pleased with the design.

6) MOTHER & HISTORY

I am with my mom in her current house. She is talking about different ropes and there is a man interpreting her images and words and explaining the symbols. He concludes that her house is suffocating her and to free herself she needs to let go of her house. The man looks at me at tells me about how we can use the power of our thoughts to create what we want and need. He is a kind gentleman with white hair.He is a guide. He tells me to consider where I’ve come from and the thoughts that come from those experiences and then how to think of what I need, how to ask for what I need, how to accept it when it comes, and be grateful for every gift. My mom is new to this experience and I am to encourage her. I know that giving up the house is not the only solution for her but just the beginning of it. There is a person who has cleaned out their fridge and made a soup of all the left over ingredients. Then they ate it. The soup looks awful and the person is now sick. I say to them that they should not have eaten that as it could have been old and mouldy. I don’t know why they ate it instead of throwing it out.

7) DRIVING & RAIN

I am driving on a busy city street. I am able to maneuver around cars and then am stopped in traffic. It’s raining. There seems to be a bit of urgency, maybe I am taking the woman to the hospital, but I say don’t worry, we’ll get there. Everything will be okay. She is very worried but I intuitively know we’ll get there and she will be okay.

Dear Rachel,
When I work with the Crees on the Alexander Reserve in Morinville,  I was given a contract with the Corp for Public Broadcasting and U. of Lethbridge to work on the curriculum for native stories they were doing called Walking with Grandfather.  I found that I really enjoyed the metaphoric work of decipering myths.    Most people including the native people at the time, don’t have enough self discipline to stay with a story for the length of time needed for it to reveal itself.   They slip into literal thinking and believe it.  For instance, the Crees have a story like Noah and believe it is literally true just like the Jews and Christians do.    I just found it a lot more interesting to stay with the stories long enough to see what they were trying to really say.   When my interpretation matched a very well respected elder on one story,  that is, I had come up with all of the same ideas he did before I ever heard his, then I knew I was pretty good at the process.
At the same time I was studying and being certified in Neuro-linguistic Programming which taught me how to look at the structure of how something is present, not just the content.    Then later when I moved to Maxwell,  I just started listening to a lot of dreams and working with them.   At the same time I studied intensively for a couple of years the 4 Valleys and 7 Valleys to see how it matched with the concepts of the medicine wheel and other quadrant systems.    I also worked out the idea that the ego and true self work in tandem with each other in opposite ways something that most people have still not caught onto.   I also explored a lot about time and space when it is in an ego state and when it is in the true self state.
One of the big things I worked out was that because dreams are a spiritual phenomenon, then time has its own rules like for instance the end of dream( purpose in spiritual terms) comes at the beginning of the dream and if you have negative dreams it is the thing that comes last before you wake up that you should work on first.
When I went to Brazil, I just worked out how the idea that we are connected fits into the process.    I discovered when I was doing dream meetings, that when a person shared a dream, that the dream didn’t seem to only be for them, but for everyone in the group.    Then I just sort of went into a space of awe and wonderment like in the 7 Valleys.I had a big illusion before moving to Asia that somehow this part of the world would be better at all of these processes than the West because of the Buddhist ideas about meditation,  but like everywhere else,  most people have a lot of superstition and lack of self discipline to do the spiritual work.    What I am learning here is the tie in between our own spiritual individual transformation and the larger global transformation.   In the West we believe that we can change anything if we just put in the hard work and effort.   A lot of this is true and that is why the struggle is so important.   The East believes that nothing is possible until the divine world permits it.  The down side of the west is the belief that you can do whatever you want and just take all of the resources.   The down side of the east is that they believe so much in fate, etc. and then are extremely vulnerable to leaders who do as they please without repercussions.      So one has to read the needs of the larger world and where it is going and then also read the individual world and what it is asking.    In the dream world there is harmony between the two.
When I was in the West I believed that I could do whatever I wanted if I just followed certain processes.   In the East I realize that the divine world knows better.   So somehow you have to get to the idea of submitting to the will of God but also having iron willed determination and desire.  I am not sure that anyone has it right.      The West believes in the gods of money like Bill Gates and Donald Trump and Oprah.    The East believes in people who pretend to be gods like Ho Chi Minh and Mao.    Our idea is that there is the will of God for us, but we have to use a lot of volition and initiative to hook into it.Ok your dreams.   They mostly show a great deal of progress. In the first dreams you are swinging in the air.   The air is the place of the future, of optimism, hope, and enthusiasm. Mostly is is feeling light of undo responsibility and excitement over possibilities .   There are four elements, air, fire, water and earth.   Each has its own virtues.   Air orients you in a positive way to the future by being light and feeling like you can for anything.     It is hard for your sister to believe you because it is hard for her to believe in possibiilties.   When you get good and actualizing the possibilties, then people will believe in the swinging.     There is a science to what you are feeling.  The science is that when you deal honestly and repetitively with the tests of your life,  you gradually feel lighter and freer.  This is what is happening to you. The Anne of Green Gables dream is there to let you know that you have put those positive memories in the crawl space and this is because it was too dangerous to reawaken them in the household you grew up in.  Even Colleen drank her way through life in order to avoid the pain.   She was positive and believed in you.  The dream is telling you go down in the crawl space of your mind, clean off the spots, and then open yourself fully to the positive encouragement that she gave you and that is the core of what Anne of Green Gables is about. So first you have a positive idea about the future and then step two is to have a voice of encouragement. Your problem is the belief that you should get rid of the past memories and encouragement, but without those voices in your head and then your own positive voice,  you cannot get to your vision.  It is the voice of encouragement that keeps you on the path.Snow dream. The other guy wants to remain in the cold and misery because he is comfortable there.  You have decided that you have had enough coldness in your life and now it is time to seek some warmth.     Warmth is the quality that allows you to have positive relationships with others so that cooperation can occur.   A lot of people avoid cooperation and consultation, for instance, because the memory of the cold is too great.  You are seeking the warmth because you have had enough of the cold relationships.April 11th is a continuation of the warmth theme, this time in relation to authority.   When bad authority or accusations are no longer an issue you can find a better role for yourself, hence the halter top because it is clothing for warmer days,  and then you find people who you can work with and cooperate with.    I don’t think you have a lot of issues here, but the dreams are letting you know that cooperation is open and you should do it more.   You know how to pick better relationships now.

April 12th is about the wisdom you now have inside of you based upon your experience and the steps you have made n your transformation process.  It is very positive because it allows you to help others through their process.  You see what is happening with the woman and you also intuitively know that things are going to be ok.   The intuition is based upon your wisdom that has been gained from experience.

So the 4 things you are being reminded of are vision and lighness,   encouraging yourself with positive voices,  relating to others in a cooperative way, and using your wisdom to guide you.

Regardless. For me, I liked knowing that there was a scientific explanation for what I experienced.

The Purpose of Writing About Taboo Topics Which Show Up in Dreams …

14681699_10157746974450595_8501161778339029874_n

The purpose of the Dream is to remind us all, the scientists, the philosophers, the cynics, and the nay-sayers that there is more to this world than what our senses can perceive; there is more to life than what we know.

The purpose in writing about dreams which have metaphors which are taboo or sensitive to discuss in public in our culture is to shine a light on false notions, illusions & mirages upheld by culture but harmful to individual growth & well-being.

When we can look at beliefs we hold which are actually in error then we can modify & change them and in doing so we can achieve greater & greater experiences of fulfillment, achievement or accomplishment.

More importantly, we can tap into and expand our Authentic Self, which allows us to live a life of Truth and Integrity. It allows us to live the life we were meant to live.

Thanks to the power of the Dream & the Dream World.

With a little bit of attention and change daily, incredible strides can be achieved over time. It’s truly spectacular.

Parent When the Parent Starts Setting Clear Boundaries

28 August 2017

When a parent does dreamwork/changework they first work on themselves, heal from their own traumas in childhood and resolve their issues then they can super charge their abilities to support the development of virtues and positive qualities in their children.

Then they can really start being a fantastic parent for their children because now that they are free from the past issues they can more fully support their children. In this way, their children will not inherit or learn the same fears their parents had. In this way, each generation becomes better than the one prior to it. In this way, generations and the whole world can heal & change for the better.

When a parent is clear about their expectations and sets clear boundaries a child may become upset. When they are upset & angry that they are no longer getting their own way they might say a whole host of negative things to try to break their parent down so they can get their own way.

Here are a few statements a child might say:

  • This/you are ridiculous.
  • I hate this/you.
  • You are SO not a good parent.
  • Oh, it’s going to be “this” kind of day (eyes rolling)
  • You can’t make me do anything.
  • I’m not listening to you.

In situations like this, it is helpful if the parent can practice the exercise of turning down the negative voice that they are hearing from their child.

A parent does not need to respond to every statement the child makes. The change work involved in this process is to simply notice the negatives and turn them down.

In this way, the parent can stay focused on the task at hand, repeat themselves if necessary and stand firm with what the expectations are.

It is not easy. I’m not saying it’s easy.

But when clear boundaries are set and the child is enccouraged to follow through with responsibilities & obligations then they will learn essential skills needed for a productive and full-filing adult life.
